Marktplaats is seeking a Head of Paid Media who will play a crucial role with his / her team in driving all aspects of both online and offline media investments (short & long term). The role will report into the CMO of Marktplaats and will be part of a great team of talents in an agile and international environment and a work culture that's been genuinely committed to diversity & inclusion. You and your team will be leading our annual connections planning strategy & execution in close collaboration with key internal partners and external agency partners. The role:Act as a multifaceted media expert who will be accountable for delivering world class data-driven media strategies and plans.Further build paid media capability within the team to drive effective media strategy that delivers brand growth: bring to team constant in-depth knowledge of the paid media industry, market & Ad Tech dynamics as well as best practices to further improve campaign efficiency through deeper use of our Ad Tech functionalities.Champion a performance marketing mindset when it comes to paid media optimisation across the funnel.Drive our paid media "Now New Next" agenda, identifying the emerging media consumption & technology trends and test new ways to connect with our various audiences across multiple platforms & formats.Combine excellent media market, technical knowledge & data analysis to help the team develop, activate, and optimize a large variety of sophisticated campaigns across the funnel.Drive continuous efforts to improve our Paid Media strategy and tactics (understand the drivers of performance) working cross-functionally with analytics, Integrated Marketing & content teams as well as relevant Media / Ad Tech partners.What we are looking for:A passionate & data driven media expert with great knowledge of the Dutch (& ideally Belgian) media landscape as well as progressive measurement & optimization techniques.You are constantly curious about consumers, with a deep understanding of consumer behaviour across all media channels.A strong teammate who enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.10+ years of experience in full funnel media strategy, planning and budget setting in an e-commerce business.Demonstrated paid media execution to very high standards, with personal accountability for great performance.Positive energy, willingness to develop further, pro-active, entrepreneurial way of thinking.Solid leadership and team management experienceBe an expert in advertising technologies such as ad servers, DSP's, DMP's, CDP's, RTB platforms, ad exchanges, cross-device tracking technologies, web analytics, dynamic creative tooling, audience modelling, bid management.Strong experience in media strategy and planning across all media channels (TV, Digital, Social, Audio, OOH) in Benelux & able to confidently review, critique media plans and presentations.Ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.Excellent communication skills: the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and guide team members on doing the same.An ability to translate business needs into business opportunities which can be executed in small steps and prioritize them according to business value and impact.Strategic thinker, able to balance long-term vision with short- and medium-term goals with a strong focus to action.Fluent English speaker.Master's degree in an analytical or experimental field preferred – ideally in Marketing, Economics, Statistics.
